Cat Grooming

Yes – cats need grooming, too!

Yes, cats need grooming including a bath with water and soap! People are often shocked when they hear that we offer cat grooming. Cats need grooming on a regular basis just like dogs especially if they have long hair. Breeds such as Persians and Himalayans need regular grooming every 4-6 weeks to maintain a healthy, tangle free coat.

We have groomers that are specially trained with cats to give them a safe and calm grooming experience. Your cat will be happier and healthier and you will benefit from reduced shedding, hair balls, and allergy problems!

Cat matted? We can fix it!

When kitties aren’t on a regular schedule, often times the excessive oils and dander make the coat sticky which causes the hairs stick together. The the dead hair cannot shed out and eventually you get what we call a mat! Once these are in the coat we usually have to cut them out as it’s not safe to remove them any other way. Most times when we get matted cats our only option is to do a short cut or Lion trim to remove the matting and “start over”. Then we can get your kitty on a regular schedule for baths so that matting won’t be an issue in the future!

Cat smelly? We can fix it!

If you didn’t shower for 6 months or more, you would be ripe as well.  Many people believe that cats groom themselves and do not “need” a bath, but this is a misconception. Cats LICK themselves which does not remove odors, dander, or oils. We use a special kitty shampoo that removes excess oils and dander and results in a nice, soft, clean smelling kitty! We also offer add-on services such as sanitary trims and tuft trimming if your cat is bringing things out of the litter box that should stay in there.

Excessive Hairballs? We can fix it!

A regular bath schedule, good scrub with our shampoo, blow dry, and shed controlling brush out will greatly reduce the amount of hair that your kitty ingests while licking itself. However, sometimes kitties still have trouble with hair balls especially long haired cats. We offer Lion clips that will take the body short and leave only the legs, tip of tail, and a small mane around the neck. This greatly reduces the amount of hair you kitty can ingest and is recommended for long haired cats that have excessive hairballs.

“But cats hate water…” – WRONG!

We have special training with kitties and when properly introduced to water, they actually enjoy a bath! We groom many kitties that we see anywhere from 4-8 weeks that are calm and totally comfortable with the process. Mobile grooming is especially helpful for the cat grooming process as it allows for a safe, one-on-one experience in the safety of the mobile unit without distractions.

We offer many options for cat grooming including baths, haircuts, and more!
